The collective work Artificial Intelligence and Public Procurement: Regulation, Governance and Compliance is now available. Andrés Montoro Montarroso, co-founder of I2SC, participated in its coordination and preparation. The publication offers a rigorous analysis of the structural impact of Artificial Intelligence on the public sector, with a special focus on public procurement. This book also includes contributions from José Ángel Olivas and Jesús Serrano, also co-founders of I2SC.
The work addresses the legal, technical and organisational challenges posed by the integration of Artificial Intelligence systems in a rigorously formalised field such as public procurement. From an interdisciplinary perspective, it combines law and knowledge engineering to offer solutions aligned with legality, ethics and the general interest. The work examines how AI fits into the Public Sector Contracts Law and the new European regulation on Artificial Intelligence. It also explores governance and self-regulation mechanisms, such as codes of conduct, to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory compliance. It is a key reference for administrations, lawyers and technologists in the face of the digital transformation of the public sector.
